In supporting Le Grand Costumier, you are helping save a big piece of our collective history, a rich heritage and countless memories. You will be encouraging a project embraced by the public and the cultural sector, and assisting an economically and socially viable social enterprise representing Quebec’s incredible creativity.
The costume community has a special place at Le Grand Costumier. Anyone who has recently graduated or is in the process of professionalising who would like to put their skills and knowledge to work for the Grand Costumier is very welcome.
The tasks to be carried out are many and varied. Here are a few examples:
Helping to tidy up and reorganise costumes and accessories.
Help with small clothing and accessories repair projects (hat trimming, shoe polishing, jewellery repair, sewing on buttons, ironing, etc.).
Help with artistic projects (photo shoots, special projects, etc.)
Visual or textual research projects.

If you are an individual, a cultural organisation or a production, and you wish give away clothing or accessories in good condition, please contact us by email with a brief description of the items and photos. Due to limited storage space, we reserve the right to select items according to our customers' needs.
